Marinda
Venter, MA., is a
Registered
Psychologist,
and a
Certified Canadian Counselor.
Marinda received her MA in Psychology from the Vermont
College of Norwich University and also has B.Com (Hons)
in Industrial Psychology degree, which she received from
the Rand Afrikaans University. She completed her
internship at Prince Albert Mental
Health Centre, Prince Albert Health District,
Saskatchewan. She worked for Mental Health in rural
Saskatchewan where she dealt with clients who presented
with a wide variety of complicated issues. She was also
involved with Spousal abuse programs.she
conducted individual and family assessment and therapy
with the clients. She also provided consultation to
other health professionals in the health region. I
worked closely with the family physicians, and
psychiatrist of the health region, assisting them with
suicide assessments, psychometric testing, and
assessments of individual clients. The clients
presented with a variety of issues depression, anxiety,
bereavement, relationship problems, crisis intervention,
parent child relationship issues1 panic
disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive
compulsive disorder, psychosis, bipolar disorder, eating
disorder, stress related to work stress, sexual
molestation, fibro myalgia, acquired brain injury,
adjustment disorder, anger management, child
apprehension suicidal ideation, and forensics, and a
variety of personality disorders.
